Job Responsibilities

Pennoni Associates is current seeking a Graduate Municipal Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:

  • Develop complete design and construction plan sets for site development, municipal and water/wastewater projects using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D including site geometry, utility, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, grading/drainage plans and details in accordance with client and regulatory agencies.
  • Performing and analyzing field surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential design solutions and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget.
  • Completing red line markups and plan revisions in accordance with desired design standards; Researching and reviewing deeds, ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborating with project managers and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisions.
  • Represent clients as a construction observer during the installation of improvements.
  • Attend daytime and evening meetings representing client projects.

 

Job Requirements

Required Attributes:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum years of relevant work experience: 0 to 3 years related experience
  • Licenses required: EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced, project delivery oriented environment
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Independent learner who can perform tasks after initial training with little oversight
  • Comprehensive thinker who can organize and plan work to meet schedule demands
  • Experience in the construction and or engineering field which demonstrates ability to think through engineering problems

Preferred Attributes:

  • Construction Observation Experience, High GPA, Community Service participation
