Pennoni is seeking for a Network Administrator. This individual will work with our Security and Service Desk Teams to help redefine how IT Services are delivered in a modern distributed multi-discipline engineering firm using innovative technology.


  • Manage and ensure effectiveness of network, servers and cloud services
  • Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, wireless access points and switches
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
  • Administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network activities.
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation.
  • Occasional inspection of cable in floors and ceilings.


Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of detail-oriented experience in information technology roles
  • Knowledge of server and client- based technologies including virtualization, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and DFS
  • Experience managing O365 (Exchange Online, Skype, Teams, SharePoint Online, etc.)
  • Experience with On-premises Virtualization and Cloud Based technologies including, VMware, Hyper-V and Azure
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration including patching and upgrades
  • Knowledge of Internet, security and e-mail protocols, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, IPsec, certificates
  • Understanding of information security practices including PCI and PII safeguarding.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • 25% Travel when required
