Job Responsibilities

Pennoni, a leading engineering and design consulting firm, is current seeking a Project Environmental Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:   

  • Utilizing expertise and advanced technical knowledge of industrial processes and permitting to include writing and presenting technical reports and papers
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering, and monitoring work for compliance to applicable regulations and accepted engineering practices and standards
  • Possess technical knowledge and awareness to able to recognize when technical problems are developing and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Customer focused with a personal drive and reputation for meeting commitments and providing innovative solutions
  • Project management experience, including preparing and managing budgets while overseeing project schedules and ensuring timely completion
  • Coordinating execution of projects with other disciplines and office personnel
  • Developing Drawings, Specifications and Capital/Operating Costs
  • Work based out of Pennoni’s Region 3 offices – Mechanicsburg, Plains, State College, Bethlehem, Pittsburgh, or Uniontown.
  • Experience in the following areas, but not all required:
    • Wastewater Treatment and Industrial Process Design
    • Air and Waste Management and Permitting
    • Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
    • PPC/SPCC/ICP Plan Preparation
    • Chemical and Environmental Assessment, Investigation, and Remediation
    • Regulatory Agency Permitting and Coordination
    • PA Brownfields/Act 2



Job Requirements

Required Attributes

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Years of Experience:10-15 years
  • Licenses: PA PE License, licensure in other Mid-Atlantic states a plus
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • AutoCAD experience strongly preferred
  • Active and favorable contacts from past successful work as potential opportunities/ clients for marketing future work
