Pennoni Associates is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing traffic engineer to join their Transportation Division in Mechanicsburg, PA.  The Mechanicsburg office serves as a base for multiple engineering disciplines including: Municipal, Structural, Survey, Site/Civil, Highway and Traffic, giving you the chance to interact with a wide array of experienced professionals.  Responsibilities will include design of traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, and preparation of various safety and transportation studies. In this role you will be assisting with a variety of projects for Pennoni’s diverse collection of public and private clients.  Other duties will include working on various highway and structure related projects in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

 

Job Responsibilities

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking an Associate Traffic Engineer with experience consistent but not limited to:

  • Preparation of Traffic Signal plans
  • Preparation of Traffic Control plans
  • Preparation and review of Transportation Impact Studies
  • Various highway and traffic assignments for PennDOT Districts and PennDOT Central Office

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Attributes

  • Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum years of work experience: 4-7 years
  • Licenses preferred: EIT, PE, or PTOE a plus
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft; experience with Microstation is preferred
  • Communication skills required for coordination with local team as well as other offices.
