Job Responsibilities

Pennoni, a leading engineering and design consulting firm, is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in some or all of the following skills to integrate into a growing Civil Engineering division of the Company. 

The division has an excellent list of clients with established backlog of diverse projects. This position has leadership and senior project manager potential with the ability to lead teams and help grow and expand an already successful group.

  • Civil Engineering design, support and project management for public and private sector projects.
  • Water and sewer system design, analysis, and/or review of collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, treatment systems, and storage tanks, including new construction and rehabilitations.
  • Civil Engineering support for Delaware and Pennsylvania municipalities including:
    • Subdivision and land development reviews
    • Road rehabilitation
    • Stormwater management
    • Capital improvements
    • Grant writing
    • Attendance at public meetings
  • Infrastructure planning including providing recommendations, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing solutions.
  • Regulatory permitting
  • Inspection and construction administration
  • Preparing and managing budgets while overseeing project schedules and ensuring timely completion

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Attributes:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Years of Experience: 5-15 years
  • Licenses: PE License, preferably in the states of DE and PA
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience strongly preferred

Preferred Attributes:

  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic software platforms such as HydroCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, WaterGEMs, SewerGEMs, InfoSWWM and ArcGIS/ArcInfo also preferred but not required
  • Experience in water resources such as stream and waterway restoration
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • A self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills
